[Why didn't this page show up in a search for Ledger? (before this line & Add-In TODO)]

R2014+:

  1. draw Framing elements "left-to-right" when "standing on the Floor and looking at the edge" (clockwise around the outside edge of the slab, counter-clockwise around openings)
  2. Move or Offset "in" by "y Offset Value" (see table below)
  3. set properties:
    • y Justification: Left
    • y Offset Value: (see table below)
    • Stick Symbol Location: Location Line

1/4" = 1'-0" 1.5"
3/16" = 1'-0" 2"
1/8" = 1'-0" 3"
3/32" = 1'-0" 4"
1:100 80

TIP: Use the "main scale", since you can't vary it per view (i.e. use the partial plan scale - where the elements are tagged).

NOTE: The default property values:

  • y Justification: Origin
  • y Offset Value: 0'  0"
  • Stick Symbol Location: Center of Geometry

Sloped deck issues

The ledger on the low end will be slightly high. The offset is dependent on the deck slope AND member size...
