[Why didn't this page show up in a search for Ledger? (before this line & Add-In TODO)]
R2014+:
- draw Framing elements "left-to-right" when "standing on the Floor and looking at the edge" (clockwise around the outside edge of the slab, counter-clockwise around openings)
- Move or Offset "in" by "y Offset Value" (see table below)
- set properties:
- y Justification: Left
- y Offset Value: (see table below)
- Stick Symbol Location: Location Line
View Scale | y Offset Value |
---|---|
1/4" = 1'-0" | 1.5" |
3/16" = 1'-0" | 2" |
1/8" = 1'-0" | 3" |
3/32" = 1'-0" | 4" |
1:100 | 80 |
TIP: Use the "main scale", since you can't vary it per view (i.e. use the partial plan scale - where the elements are tagged).
NOTE: The default property values:
- y Justification: Origin
- y Offset Value: 0' 0"
- Stick Symbol Location: Center of Geometry
Sloped deck issues
The ledger on the low end will be slightly high. The offset is dependent on the deck slope AND member size...

Ideas
- IDEA:Offset framing stick symbol line without affecting the analytical model [ACCEPTED] by lionel.kai - for overlapping beams in plan - WORKAROUNDS: use "y-Offset" and move beam, or Detail Lines, etc. - was "[ARCHIVED]" with 4 votes, then changed to "[ACCEPTED]"!?!
- from Add-Ins - TODOs:
- button to draw ledger(s) in a view (& reset Framing settings after)
