Undo/Redo

TIP: Use the Undo (or Redo) pull-down in the QAT instead of a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-z) or just clicking the button. This is a good habit to get in to avoid undoing more than desired. Sometimes there may be a delay before you see the change, which may lead you to undo too many times. The "extra" (unwanted) undo may be for something off-screen, so you won't see you went back too far.

TODO DWG/DXF Export Setup Modify Export Setup doesn't affect permissions? (no checkboxes in Synchronize with Central if it was the only change) However, it DOES register as a change requiring a save.

Troubleshooting

Lost Undo History

  • Most likely related to permissions (on workshared projects)
    • example: "if you delete a sheet [or View] the undo history is also deleted." (see idea & other links below)
      • WORKAROUND: "You have to borrow the workset of a sheet [or View] before deleting it to preserve undo history."
    • similar for renaming a Sheet
