TIP: Use the Undo (or Redo) pull-down in the QAT instead of a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-z) or just clicking the button. This is a good habit to get in to avoid undoing more than desired. Sometimes there may be a delay before you see the change, which may lead you to undo too many times. The "extra" (unwanted) undo may be for something off-screen, so you won't see you went back too far.

TODO | DWG/DXF Export Setup | Modify Export Setup | doesn't affect permissions? (no checkboxes in Synchronize with Central if it was the only change) However, it DOES register as a change requiring a save. |

Troubleshooting
Lost Undo History
- Most likely related to permissions (on workshared projects)
- example: "if you delete a sheet [or View] the undo history is also deleted." (see idea & other links below)
- WORKAROUND: "You have to borrow the workset of a sheet [or View] before deleting it to preserve undo history."
- similar for renaming a Sheet
- example: "if you delete a sheet [or View] the undo history is also deleted." (see idea & other links below)
Ideas
- Add Undo/Redo for viewport navigation
- see also Make View Rewind tool discoverable - reposted Add Rewind to the Ribbon [ARCHIVED] [notified 2/22/21] - similar to (but different from) "context menu (2019.2) as 'Previous Pan/Zoom' and 'Next Pan/Zoom'."
- IDEA:API handle undo [ARCHIVED] by chris_mckeown - event handler (example: deletion handler, but the deletion gets undone - no handler?) - actually can use "Operation" property of "DocumentChanged" event (per Undo Event) [notified 2/22/21]
- IDEA:Undo after deleting sheet by dduarte - BUG: "On workshared projects, if you delete a sheet [or View] the undo history is also deleted."
- WORKAROUND: "You have to borrow the workset of a sheet before deleting it to preserve undo history."
- OR "lock" Views (& Sheets) from being deleted per j.muntz's invisible Revision workaround
- Did you know that you can't Undo in a Workshared model after deleting a View that's been sync'd to central?
- Solved: What Things Cannot be Undone - Autodesk Community - Revit Products
- Create section > Sync > Delete section > cannot be undone.
- Sync > Create section > Delete section > can be undone.
- Undo command does not work after deleting views in workshared models [FIXED in R2018.2; then broken again? (as of R2022), or a different issue?]
